iPod how many minutes to fill a nano up?

how long does it take to fill it up?
please say if u have a 2gb or 4gb and USB 1.1 or USB 2.0
i think this will help who can't decide wether buying a usb 2.0 card or not like me
i had a shuffle 1 gb and i took so long to fill it up with usb 1.1
but someone says this is due to the flash memory

It's not due to the flash memory, the shuffle has a slower controller chip.

The nano is much faster, closer to the Mini according to those who have it. So it should be worthwile for you to buy a USB 2 card.

Flash memory IS super slow, but the slower USB 1.1 may be your bottleneck.

I read somebody who said it took around 30 mins to fill up his nano.

Also read 7 mins for 900 songs.

And as fast as the mini..

i was really worried about how long it would take for mine to fill up. i was wrong.

i have a shuffle and its soooo slow to update. from what i can tell, the nano is around the same speed as the mini.

sorry i didn't note the time down but next time i will do to help out.

btw i'm on USB2 with an iMac G5.

Thanks for the info, that's all we really need. It's not like everyone tracked how much time it takes to fill up a Mini. If it feels the same as a Mini, then it's close enough.

After all, the Shuffle is reallly slow even with USB 2.
