I've just ordered my 3GS over the phone with an o2 rep

I had to pay £144 to buy out contract and £87 for the handset

I ordered a 16gb in White

I sold my 3g iphone on ebay for £320, so made a nice profit

If you did your maths properly you'd see that you certainly are not making money - just not spending quite as much as you could have done.

i sold my 3g and paid the extra for a payg 3gs, didn't have to sign a new contract that way.

No you just transfer your sim card into the new handset!!
