How much of a difference in performance between the 2013 and 2014?

Aside from the improved screen, can anyone give me an idea of how much of a performance difference I might see from going from a 2013 to a 2014 iMac with the specs listed below. The Mac will be used for Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.

32GB 1600MHz DDR3
512GB Flash Storage
NVIDA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB

to a

2014 model
4.0GHz QC i7 Turboboost 4.4GHz
32GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-4x8GB

AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4GB GDDR5

Gtx 780 is better . But 2014 has 5k display .

Why would the iMac from a year prior have a better graphics card? I believe both the 2013 and 2014 options listed were the highest end available at the time.

It doesn't.

Unless you're made of money I would at least wait until the next update because you might see TB3 and other interesting enhancements (maybe even eGPU support?). You rarely see a massive performance boost from just one generation to the next.

The guy's wrong.

For what you're doing, the M295X will be leaps and bounds better, because what you're doing is heavily OpenCL, and NVIDIA cards (especially the Kepler 600M/700M series) suck at OpenCL. AMD cards are bloody good on OpenCL.

I got the exact same retina iMac (4.0 i7/32/512/4GB M295X) and it does a great job at 4K editing.
