I have someone willing to pay $450. Is that a good deal for me? It's in mint condition.

    Thanks.

I think that's a great price to sell for if you've got a buyer… because I wouldn't be willing to spend that much on it—sorry.

    I would do it.

Just curious, how did you find the buyer? Craigslist?

Someone who works for me. Just wondering if it's worth keeping the original iPad as a work tool, display pictures and products to customers and use my newly ordered iPad3 64 GB WiFi and 3G as the new replacement.

It's hard to pass up the $450 offer...what would you recommend?

What line of business are you in? Is it profitable for you to display your product to customers?

Under normal conditions, I would say take the $450 deal but if its more feasible to use it in your LOB then keep it.

And it would seem a bit cruel to sell it to one of your workers who, presumably, doesn't know any better. But, money talks.

One of my subcontractors made me an offer when I mentioned I was buying the new version. $ 450 seems like a good price.

Look at completed listings on ebay for similar units. Checkbox on the left side. Easy way to see exactly what people are paying. Take off fees (~12%) and that'd be your net. Somewhere between the two is probably a fair price.

why in the world would u use a crap screen to display work to customers when you have a good screen. If your in business to make money I don't get this at all.

Because they are still selling the same product. Besides the iPad 1/2 display is not crap. And honestly, the display makes a nice picture frame also.

Well she gets the original iPad as soon as my account status shows "shipped".

I guess $829 original price minus $450 =$ 329 my cost of ownership for 2 years isn't so bad ;)

I don't think the iPad 1 screen is crap at all either.

That is definitely a good price.

Sold my first gen 32GB wifi + 3g for $350 cash, so you're getting back the $100 that Apple asks for the 64gb upgrade right there. Solid, make the deal! =)

I'm in a similar situation. I'm selling my iPad 2, 64gb with 3G. I was originally asking $700, but after apple dropped their prices, I lowered mine to $600. I have one offer for $500, should I just take it or wait? Just so you know I already have my money saved for the new iPad, so I don't need to sell it.

do it. For $450 you can by a refurb 16GB iPad 2 for your business and have $100 (depending on tax) profit.

I think that $450 is a good price too. That is what I recently sold mine for (same spec as yours).

Wow.That's EXACTLY what I was going to ask my potential buyer for the same configuration iPad 1.

He bought my iPod Touch 1st and 2nd gen (gave him a good price) and I think he'll go for the $450. ALl have been taken great care of and nary a scratch.
