How long does it take to install Tiger? I've got a Powerbook G4 1.5Ghz.

10 minutes? 30? 60?

Forty-five minutes for me all up on an 800MHz G4 iBook from disk insertion to surfing the forums again. It was a really easy experience too, just let Apple do all the work and don't worry about archiving and installing or anything.

I strongly believe archive and install is the best option, so that you can select the carry your setting over, but you still get a fresh OS install.

I took some of the printer drivers and languages out, and my install took only 15 minutes . Furthermore, Spotlight indexing was done about ten minutes after that. Very fast.
