Hey guys,
I've got a problem, so I figured I would ask the more knowledgeable folks I know.

I'm a trying to burn a boot disk for Ubuntu 11.4 off of my MacBook Pro running OS X Lion.

I downloaded the the .iso file and opened the disk utility. When trying to burn the DVD, I'm getting the error message "Unable to burn 'ubuntu-11.04-desktop-i386.iso.' (not recognized)"

Any advice?

Are you trying to burn it in Disk Utility?

I've burned Ubuntu disks without any problems. I mount the ISO, open Disk Utility and then burn it

Okay, I think that I might have a problem with the ISO file. It wont let me mount the file, (file not recognized). I'm going to try and re-download the file.

Be sure to check MD5 or SHA1 checksums on the ISO every time you download it - they come from many places and you want to be sure you got what you expected.

Disaster averted, the ISO file was corrupt. I re-downloaded and it's working fine. Thanks for the help.
