Hi,

My Spotlight opens in dark color. Yet i see videos where spotlight looks gray.

How to change the color of the spotlight?

I couldn't find the answer on the internet.

Thanks! :)

How dark is yours and how bright do you want it? Could you supply a screenshot?

The regular toggle is the dark-mode switch. You may be seeing a glitch or something though if it's entirely black. It may also be influenced by the colour of what is behind Spotlight

Can I turn darkish High Sierra Spotlight into something like this?

are you using the dark menubar? go into system preferences, general, and turn it off (or on, then off). the lighter spotlight goes with the default white menubar...

Thanks everyone for answering! I found it. It seems the color of spotlight gets changed if I use dark mode in general:

Yep. That's the idea.

This is what my SpotLight looks like running on High Sierra.

--- No offence, but your icon theme seems really creepy to me. That Finder looks like it wants to kill me.

Have you changed the appearance of the Dock though? Looks more square than normal - I may be fooling myself though

Hey, I am super curious, how did you make your Spotlight Search squared (instead of rounded) ? I have been looking to do that but so far no luck
