How to change tempo to mix music in Logic?

I'm trying to mix some music in Logic. All I want to do is take two songs and blend the end of the first song with the beginning of the second song...kinda like how a DJ mixes two records by matching up the tempo. Anyone know how to do that in Logic? Whenever I adjust the tempo all it does is shrink the wave spectrum to fit within a lesser amount of bars, but the song still sounds the same (no pitch change).

Am I making any sense? I'm an amateur at this *****.
