How to choose what partition shows up first..Also connect360 help is needed.

I tried to get connect360 to work but i does not. It says that media sharing is disabled in it's pref pane. It says that right over start. I tried a direct ethernet connection but that did not work either. I can't even find my 360. So after all of that I just try to plug my external drive to the 360 that has a time machine partition and a media partition. The 360 finds the time machine partition. That is where I am now and any help is appreciated.
