Did a bit of research and found nothing really useful.

So the problem - I noticed little dirt and tried to pull it off from the edge with my nail, but it made it only worse, I have now the dirt on the whole edge (see picture).

I tried fingers, microfibre (dump and dry), foil to clean it - no luck.

The dirt almost unnoticeable, but once you know it there it drives me crazy, considering my phone only one month old.

Anyway I'm not obsessed with stuff, and after couple of month it wouldn't bother me, but perhaps this topic would be useful at the end.

I heard some people are using iklean - would it help? Also some propose to use toothpick or needle, but I'm scary I might damage glass or plastic.

    What do you think?

    Fair enough :)

But still I can clearly see some dirty bits stuck between glass and plastic. And I know a lot of people doesn't like it.

    Ok, I will try toothpick.

Oh just live with it. I see what you're talking about but you're wasting your time if you think you can keep that part clean forever.

You aren't going to damage anything with a toothpick. I wouldn't go at it with a pin though. If it makes you feel better, use the toothpick. I also don't see any dirt there. Maybe it's just the pick, or maybe I finally found someone even more anal about keeping their phone nice than me!

Perhaps picture isn't great, besides dirt almost unnoticeable.

I will try toothpick and in any case, positive or negative I wouldn't be bother any more. It's just a phone.

I can see the dirt you're talking about. (Im on my iPhone and I pinched to zoom).

You could try the toothpick, snap it in half and you'll get pointier edges to pick the dirt apart.

But honestly, trying to get them out will just make it worse, it will just push them even deeper. My problem area isn't on the front but on the back, so I'll replacing the back when it's time to sell.

Just a tip, if you're keen on using cases you should look at a bumper or other cases that covers the edges. There are some cases that don't cover that part.

Every couple of days after I shower I take the towel I dried with and rub my phone down with it. Works nice

That the attitude to have. Use it and enjoy it and contiplate why you did not get a black phone where you would never see this.

I see it and you get that on black ones too...except white specs of dust and dead skin. You might try some scotch tape. Just press in over the area, then pull it up. I bet that will work..

An old soft toothbrush works well for cleaning out the nooks and crannies of an iPhone 4s. Just don't use it on your teeth again LOL
