So I usually sort my photos into albums every now and then for me to be able to find them easier in the future.

The problem is, sometimes I forget if I have moved some photos to their respective albums or not. I tried right clicking on a photo then chose Get Info but it doesn't say if the photo is already linked to any album. Is there a way to find out?

Using Photos on the Mac, create a smart album with the settings "Album is not Any".

However, there's a long-running bug (which means it'll likely never get fixed despite multiple Feedback reports) whereby if you delete an album, the photos won't show up in the smart album despite not being in any album any more. The only workaround is to always delete all photos from an album before deleting the now-empty album.

Which doesn't seem to be what they asked. The only way to do what you want is via Applescript, as Photos contains no function to do it.

Script No 10 might work - I've not tried it.

You can find all albums a photo belongs to with my iOS app Timeflower. Just open the photo in the app, and tap the album icon at the bottom. Currently no mac version.

Wow, that list of scripts is brilliant!

Be great to sort out date time stamps of old old pre iphone photos, imported into the MAC!
