I have an iPhone 5. I am returning it to the Apple Store tomorrow for a replacement as the power button broke.

I went into Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.

Have I done a full factory reset? Has this removed absolutely everything from my phone so that when it is activated it is brand new with no trace of anything of mine?

    Thanks

Unfortunately you won't be able to swap colors.

I'm in Australia and I might try flirting with the girl who serves me

Have you ever heard of anyone actually managing to get a different color as the replacement though?

Hope. Asa far as I know you could only swap out colors if you we're in the return/exchange period.
