Hi,

I have just restored my iPhone. I had to use the latest iTunes on a separate drive to do so. I have about 80 apps waiting to download. I have iTunes 12.6.4.3, and have switched to this version. Whilst I can normally add, remove and update apps using this version, the restored apps are not downloading. Is there anyway to get this working as I am on a very slow WiFi. Its very frustrating as all the latest versions of the apps are backed up on my Mac yet I can't get them on to the phone.

If you try to download just one app (not all) do you get an error message? I assume that you are logged into the iTunes account that owns the apps.

Yes, my account, my apps. The problem is apps say "waiting" on device, but when connected to old iTunes, it thinks the apps are installed, so the only option is remove app.

You are on an old version of iTunes (12.6, current being 12.8)?

When you see the "waiting on device" message, that is in iTunes? If so, does deleting the app and then reinstalling work? What happens if you go to app updates on your iPhone?

What version of MacOS are you running?

Since this is an app store issue, even if you don't have
AppleCare, you can call Apple support and have them work the issue. App updates seem to be very fragile. Even with both devices on the latest OS versions things seem to just break.
