Anyone been able to do this? I have a USB HDD connected to my latest get AEBS filled with movies. On my MBP, I try to get Plex server to see it and it can't. I have that HDD mounted and accessible from my desktop.

Is it possible? Thx.

EDIT--- Well, I messed with it again and all of a sudden it sees it and is running. OK to delete this post.

You'd need to set that as a share in System Prefs->Sharing

would you be able to plug in a 10 port hub into an airport extreme and get plex to see all the drivesw connected to it ? I guess having to share it on the desktop you would still need to keep the Computer on , so its not like a nas

If the drive is accessible to a computer on that same network, then there's no reason it wouldn't work.

It certainly used to work. I ran that way for a while but too much lag in start up so I went to direct connected storage.
