How to Get the best sound and picture setting on Toast 8...

I have just started to use Toast 8 titanium but i having a problem getting the picture perfect or the sound to be spot on. I sometimes have good picture and the sound would be out of sync or good sound and picture but the scene will move very slow I have lost about 3 discs trying to do this and I don’t want to loose any more could any one help or possibly help point me in the right direction

It is kinda hard to diagnose your problem, but are the movie files you are trying to burn downloaded? Also, are you trying to burn a Divx disc, or regular dvd? For the dvd route, you can actually see if the disc will be a perfect copy or will require compression. The divx disc obviously depends on how it was originally encoded. Any more information that you can provide would help in figuring this issue out.
