hi,

there's something wrong with my itunes... I tried on another user and it had ituneshelper.app started by default on startup.

basically i think, that without it, it cant detect my iphone. the other user does. so how do i make ituneshelper to run on startup?

thanks.

System Preferences --> Accounts ---> Login Items

click the plus button and find iTunes Helper.

I thought it was automatically added to the list....

iTunesHelper.app is within the iTunes.app bundle. To find it right click on iTunes and choose Show Package Contents. A new window will appear. Navigate to Contents->Resources and drag iTunesHelper.app to the preferences pane bartelby mentioned.

^ you could also press "command+shift+G" in the Finder window that slides down after clicking the "+" button and then paste in this directory "/Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources". both methods are fine its just i find this easier and quicker.
