    Can somebody please explain how to read speedtests.net results
    What does the ping, download, and upload mean.?

    Those are good speeds.
    The Download and Upload sections tell you how much data can be transferred in one second, but it is listed in bits, thus you have to divide by 8 to get to Bytes, thus you have 4 MB/s download and 1 MB/s upload speeds, which results in being able to download 14 GB in one hour and uploading 3.6 GB in one hour.
    If file sizes do not mean anything to you, then 14 GB is the equivalent of 14 to 20 movies in proper SD quality or five to seven movies in good HD quality.
    3.6 GB is roughly an entire discography of a band just having its twentieth anniversary outputting an album every 3 years. That discography is not compressed like MP3s or AACs are.

    A ping is the time a signal needs to reach the server from your computer. 53 ms is a good ping too.


    It is an image comprised of layers, most likely done in Photoshop or an equivalent like Pixelmator or Gimp (free).
