How to see dark icons?

I thought dark icons were supposed to be the default in dark mode. Well, my phone is in dark mode right now but I’m only seeing the normal light icons.

The dark icons show in the settings menu but not on the Home Screen.

Is there some other step I have to take to enable them?

Ah, okay, thanks! I guess I missed that. I have it set to "Automatic" now, so hopefully that will work. I'll have to wait until sunset to find out.

Thanks, I didn't see that article somehow. I searched for an option in Settings and didn't find it.

I thought they just disabled the function for SE2 and 3 iPhones. Because it was just automatically for all icons and suddenly it was gone somewhere in the middle of the betas and they always were bright in both modes.

And every time I asked somewhere nobody answered.

On my Mac there is one single app that goes dark too in Dark Mode, only in Dock and Launchpad. The one next to it is from the same developer and isn't doing that. Very strange.

Maybe it's coming to Mac too. But that app is not even from the App Store. I am already on 15.2 Beta, but I saw it the first time months ago.
