Ho I just migrated into a new iMac which has solidstatedrive only..
How can I see if it is updated to AFPS filesystem??

Which I assume is Apples new filesystem in High Sierra??

Apple File System (APFS), a file system designed for solid state drives, is the new default for these drives in macOS High Sierra. APFS is safe, secure, and optimized for modern storage systems. It features native encryption, safe document saves, stable snapshots, and crash protection, plus it brings performance improvements

Run "Disk Utility" (in the Utilities folder)

Assuming its internal, as you say solid-state only, select the drive in question

In the table towards the bottom, top column on the right ; it it is then will read

Type: APFS Volume

Or click on About This Mac> System Report>Storage, tells you everything

If anyone still finds this useful, easiest way is to "Get Info" on the drive.

I've found that if High Sierra's installer recognizes an SSD, it will convert to APFS. If it recognizes a spinning hard drive, it will remain HFS+ (but you can still convert those to APFS manually). Would assume the same is true for Macs bought new, if yours has an SSD and came with High Sierra it is most likely formatted APFS.
