How to Take a video of mac screen? and add my voice?

hey guys im trying to make a series of videos teaching people some stuff and its going use my imacs screen is there any program or anything that just video tapes my whole screen or a part of it and records my voice at the same time?

please need help asap

Quicktime can record audio. So you can record it at the same time you are capturing the screen, or you can import it into iMovie, and just add a voice narration with the little "mic" icon.

As far as I know you can capture your screen and record your voice with the built-in mic at the same time in Quicktime X...

Edit to say: Just tested this and it does work.

I was not aware of this. This is a much easier way than using Garage Band. Thanks! MC
