Yep, Adblock Plus.

I'd install Adblock Filterset G as well, it'll keep your filter list up to date (meaning any new ads that appear on the net will be removed)

Do you have the block pop-ups option turned on under pref>contents?

That blocks 99% of everything for me. Once in a while on yahoo I get a moving add that it doesn't block though.
I guess if you do then addblock+ is the next step.

I installed adblock and it works great, thanks!
