Just bought a iPhone 8 and the first thing it did was try to download 11.4.1. Was wondering how battery life is on this update since 11.4 had a bad drain. I'm currently on 11.2 something and battery is perfect so far and don't wanna risk it so early :p

In general the battery isn't holding up as much as when I first got the phone on launch day, but I think that's almost one year of age finally starting to show instead of the iOS. It still gets me through the day fine, but now I'm usually in the red by end of day.

Update from 11.4 to 11.4.1 has caused major battery drain issues. Battery is going dead while phone is just sitting on counter locked at a massive rate.

Dang that’s not good to hear :( I’m still skeptic on updating since this is the first time I’ve ever had really good battery life on a iPhone (always owned one gen below)

This is what it currently is, most of my usage is the reddit app but also has mixed messenger, Spotify, snapchat and Facebook

I don't use my iphone 8 much and I get about 20% battery per day and I'm on iOS 11.4.1. But seems like every update since iOS 11.3, it drains the same amount regardless of what the battery usage shows.

Most of the time, I use my old iphone 6+ for websurfing and games and apps, but not phone calls since I upgraded to the iphone 8. My iphone 6+ barely drains if I don't use it, but its on the last iOS 10. My iphone 8 battery usage always shows the "proper" usage times, even if I don't use it. If I add up the times each app is used, its always much less than the total "usage" times. But the "usage" times seems to be the right ratio compared to the amount of battery used. At this point I kinda given up on figuring whats causing the drain and just charge the phone every day or two.

Mine works great, has had it for a month, running the lastes iOS 11 11.4.1 and lovin it.
The phone wasn't setup as new, restored a backup and its full of apps.

Don't have any google or facebook apps on it other than youtube.

iOS 11.4.1 seems to be very stable and has been on every phone I have updated, and the whole family is running a mix of SE, 6S and 7.
