Just over a week now with X and my stainless steel band is showing lots of marks on it.

I don’t have a case on it and it pretty much lives in my pocket. I can only assume it’s small pieces of dirt/debris in my pocket causing the damage.

How’s everyones else’s holding up?

No visible marks, but when I hold it under direct light and look closely, I can see several micro scratches. Even though it has been in a case since the beginning.
Since it is almost impossible to keep it pristine, I’ll live with it and polish the whole thing if it gets really ugly.
FYI, got the Silver one.
For those who bought the Space grey, do you confirm you don’t get micro scratches ?

The surgical stainless Apple is using on the iPhone X is fairly soft. It doesn't take much to cause scratches on it. The best thing you can do is clean out your case regularly of the Debris inside of it. Otherwise The option of a Cape Cod cloth Will help remove the micro scratches.

Thanks. I’ll look in to a cape cod cloth.

If it's stainless steel then you can buff out any scratches periodically.

I recommend the Apple silicone case because the sides are lined with soft material that won't scratch it. However, stainless steel will scratch no matter what you try, it's the nature of the material. There is mother's mag & aluminum polish but with using that you will need to tape off ports and the black plastic liner around the screen so it doesn't get caked inside those areas. I only break out the mag stuff if the scratch is bad and then only once in a great while. At least it's not as bad as the jet black finish of the iPhone 7!
