HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw and Mac OS Catalina

Hi, the printer is recognized by a Windows PC but it is not recognized by a MacBook Pro. It seems that last Fall, users complained about lack of support of this printer by Catalina. If there is no solution, any idea when will it be fixed?

My guess is that the fix would come from HP not Apple. Ask HP Support.

In the meantime, boot Mojave when you need to use the device with the MacBook Pro.

HP support just states that this printer is not supported under Catalina. Can't we use Air Print? I went there but the printer is not listed.

The printer is about 4 years old. HP released Easy Start and mentioned that my printer is supported under Catalina. However, although connecting the printer to the MBP16" works, connection via wifi still doesn't.

Is the MFP M477fdw different than the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477? The latter shows as being supported on the HP site, with the footnote:

"Download and install HP Easy Scan from the Mac App Store by clicking the App Store icon in the Dock. HP Easy Scan is compatible with El Capitan 10.11 and newer, and is the recommended scanning application for this HP LaserJet printer."

Yes, same thing. Tried that but does not work wirelessly. Strangle speaking, while other Windows machine can print using this printer wirelessly, Windows bootcamp also does not work wirelessly.
