I can't make a working installable tiger backup! HELP

I need to backup my tiger DVD. I tried disc utility, toast 6, but no luck. It burns, but won't install off the burn DVD.

anyone else have this issue or have any reccomendations?
 
quick update...I've tried even apple media with no luck. Do you think apple took measures for piracy reasons?
