I did CTRL O but don't know why it's not working.
Do you know what format the music is in? Could it be FLAC*?
To transcode (change format and codec) audio files, you can use the following free applications:

Is there one for Windows? My MacBook Pro is broken right now.
iTunes may not be your default app for the file format of your music file. Open iTunes. Then, from within iTunes, go to File > Add to Library ... then locate your music file and click Open.
