I found something weird with Itunes and a corrupted file

Ok, I use vuze to download music, from artists I cant find very easily. Well today, well yesterday now, I downloaded a file that had a disk read error. Well ok, i let it go. Then I checked my songs... and all of them were out of numerical order, i.e. 2 6 4 8 7 9 10 and etc. In every album this occurred. I deleted the file, and emptied the trash. What specifically caused this,:confused: I'm really curious to know. The problem is fixed now, or I'd be going nuts.:eek:
