I got a brand new iPad 4 with ios6 on it. How do I set it up? Help. I have backups from my iPad 2 on ios6 but they don't seem to list the date on all of the back ups.

Apple helped me through the process.
it's because there wasnt much we could do.
no screenshots, not specific dates, no number of backups, nothing.

Thanks, I know, I was just VERY VERY nervous that Apple was going to somehow update the iPad to ios8 without my permission.
Just backup your iPad 2 via iCloud and when you setup your 4 just tell it to restore via iCloud or you could just use the same Apple ID as on the iPad 2 and all that info will get updated on your 4.
