I just installed new battery on my iPhone, am I supposed to drain it all the way down?

So I just installed a new battery on my iPhone 6 was scared going in but it was a success. I didnt even have to remove the display. Its showing 0 cycle count and a full charge capacity in CoconutBattery.

Got just one question should I drain the battery all the way down to nothing to do some kind of calibration? Or do I just charge to 100%? It's at 42 percent out the box.

    Thanks!!

My advice would be to let it go through a few days of use, and thus a few natural charge cycles. If you discover anything wonky with your percentage indicator, it may be worth doing a calibration. Otherwise, I think it’s fine - as new phones with factory-installed batteries don’t require calibration upon unboxing.

    Ok thanks will do

Btw wow battery life is awesome pretty sure I had a bad battery for a long time. I was chalking it up to iOS 10 and 11. I’ve been sitting on 100 percent for about an hour now soooo thrilled.
