Hi,

I tried to update my hacked iphone to 2.0.2 from 1.1.4 through itunes 8.0 and it entered a non recoverable mode. Screen now only shows a usb image connecting to an itunes icon. Cant turn it on off or anything..
After trying everything I accidentaly restored the official way through itunes 8.0.

Does anyone know a way to recover it? or is it gone forever?

any help will be greatly appreciated

It's very hard to "brick" an iPhone, I don't like giving advice to people I don't know in person, but I am pretty sure it will be ok.

find some decent tutorials on-line.

YEA DFU and restore it.

Liek stated its very hard to brick an iphone i just started to unlock iphones and it was a fairly simple process.

yep, i did the same thing. just put it in dfu mode and restore to the legit 2.0.2 fw in itunes. then you can use quickpwn to pwn it because it doesnt require you to go through itunes. i tried to downgrade to itunes 7.7 and use pwnagetool but that didnt sit too well with my phone.
