hey guys.

so i know there are "album cover art" finder programs and such for songs in iTunes.. but for those you have to already have an album in the song's info..

is there a way to have a program or plugin or whatever find an album for a song? like i have a number of songs with names and artists.. is there something i can do to have it go through these and find an album that the song is on by that artist?

i hope this makes sense.

thanks!

Argh...I hate having to register for a forum just to answer simple questions.

Anyways, there's a program I used before called MusicBrainz Tagger for my completely blank MP3s that didn't even have any info other than the song name in the filename. It has some strange method where I think it collects a database of hash marks from files (like CRC, but probably a more complex alternative like MD5 or something like that) so it can tell exactly which album your song was ripped from based on common programs used to rip (iTunes, LAME, etc.)

I've had fairly impressive results with it. Give it a shot.
