In Dashboard? It should work fine.

----------

Try opening Terminal. Type 'killall Dock' (without the quotes). Let me know what happens.

If you click the + button in the corner of your screen! it will show all your installed widgets. It will also put an X next to all the open widgets. You can close the one you don't want. Does that help?

To remove a widget, click the + button again, and click 'manage widgets'.

Something like this should pop up.

Click the red remove button next to the solitaire widget.

Thanks, that worked.
The Solitaure widget was still showing loading this morning, but it is gone now.

Any chance you would know how to get my Imac to properly run my old printer?
It is an HP Deskjet 932C
I can print but the quality is not sharp enough when I print a shipping label, the bar-code can't be read.
I don't seem to be able to adjust the print quality.
If I fire up my dying laptop, the print quality is fine on the same printer.

I'm not sure. When you click File>Print, the print menu should have a way to change that. If you can't figure it out, you could start a new thread.
