Respectfully, if your budget is $3000, the iMac Pro is out of reach. What applications do you use?

Agree with @sparkhill, the iMac Pro starts above $5000 so not in budget. The iMac new is going to trick out at about $3500 for the 27” which is what I’d suggest for anything involving intense screen editing. You’ll also want a large fast storage option and a lot of memory, say 16GB at least. Lastly for video massaging, you’ll want the upgraded graphics and memory, and likely the fastest available processor. All totaled, likely just above $3500. That said, you can probably locate a one-year-old tricked out iMac for several hundred cheaper, either on Apple or other sites, that would work very very well for most video work.

Also note the video processing apps can be expensive as well. IMovie, included with the operating system at no additional cost, is pretty rudimentary. Final Cut Pro is $300. Other options get really expensive.

Let us know what you ultimately do, and why please.

For that budget, you might want to look towards the 2017 iMac refurbs on apples site.
Also check out Davinci Resolve, the free version is amazing.

Maybe find an iMac Pro base model on sale somewhere like Micro Center. Looks like they are $4500 at Micro Center right now. I remember when they first came out Micro Center had them for $4000.
