    Hi,

I'm new to many features in Mac OS X . As of now, I only have 1 user account (this one), so I'm just curious to know what happens if I go to Apple Menu > Log Out User? What does this do?

    Thanks

It just sends you to the welcome screen, where it has your user name and asks for your password. Pretty similar to windows.

Sends your soul to the infinite abyss, never will it see the light of day again.

Great!, gave it a try, it's all good. Guess my only concern was that the welcome screen DIDN'T show up every time I started my system or upon waking it from sleep...

Thats because you have to turn off automatic login for it to show that prompt on boot up.
