    A finnish computer magazine tested how phones survive in cold temperatures. here's the results: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/193/frosttest.jpg/

    Translations:

    Toimintahäiriöitä = Malfunctions
    Lakkaa toimimasta = Shut down

    Note! Temperature unit is celcius.

    I own a iPhone 4S and have noticed this poor cold temperature resistance.

    This is within Specifications. Working Temperature is between 0°C an 35°C so not really something to complain about. The shutdown maybe forced by iOS to prevent any damage to the ICs.

    Malfunction because of bad response from the touchscreen?! What malfunctions usually occur?

    In -5 degrees Iphone 4S shows sim-card fault and Nokia N9 gives low battery warning. Yes, all LCD displays give's lagging responce around -10 and lower temperatures. All AMOLED and SAMOLED displays works fine even -35 degrees.
