First and foremost, it’s a beta, and I’m fully aware of it.

Second, let me be clear that it doesn’t drive me nuts that it’s almost constantly on. What does drive me nuts is how it’s currently implemented: whenever it reappears, the content on the screen jumps up and down with it. As a result, I end up tapping on the wrong link so many times, it’s nutzzz. Also, whenever it reappears, the link to go back to the previous app disappears. Uber annoying. I pray to heavens Apple improves its appearance.

I also notice that when screen recording they removed the word ‘recording’ and the time elapsed.

What circumstances cause this to happen.... I don't experience this at all......

Also on most apps that use location services you are prompted when you initially download the app to choose whether you want the service on all the time or only when using the app. I always choose "Only when using the app" as this not only gets rid of the blue bar, but also saves some on battery life.

The way the blue bar is implemented on the iPhone is annoying in general. It's also irritating when you have Personal Hotspot on. The iPad implementation is a lot better as it's just the status bar that turns blue and it doesn't use up any screen space or push the UI down.

This is something Apple should fix.

it isn't hard to do on iPhone either.. it's a jailbreak tweak

looks much better than the current implementation doesn't it?

Until iOS 10 it was up to the developer to allow the "Only when using the app" option. For some apps there were only "Off" or "Always". iOS 11 changed this

It's pretty hard to do if not jailbroken?.. but yes, the double wide status bar for hotspot especially is very very annoying when using phone as primary internet connection..

lets remove all indicators of using location or hotspot or whatever, so then people can complain and threaten to sue apple cause they "werent obvious enough to the user when using such battery draining/data consuming tasks" etc. all know it will happen..

sigh.. society cant all be pleased so pick something and stick with it, exactly what apple has done
