I purchased my iphone 4s from sprint on launch day, does that mean its unlocked?

    I pre-ordered it and received it on launch day, and the sim tray is unlocked so is my phone unlocked??

    The sim tray is unlocked?
    What does that mean? All 4S iphones have a sim tray.
    That doesnt mean anything.

    i asked if the phone was unlocked i read that sprint sold their initial iphone 4s's unlocked.

    Just because you can take the sim card out, doesn't mean your phone is unlocked.

    If it was activated before 11/11 then it's unlocked for international use.

    it was activated before 11/11 but im selling it so when the next person activates it, will it still be unlocked?

    Don't confuse "unlocked for international travel" with "unlocked to use on any network"...In other words, don't advertise it is an "unlocked iPhone 4S"..Cause it is not.

    Exactly.
    In the US it will only work with Sprint and no other US carrier.
    If you sell it to someone outside the US it will work with any GSM international carrier.

    Yes. It will not relock no matter what you do.
