I recently changed Apple ID’s

I recently change my Apple ID and am trying to download the original pictures from iCloud to my Mac and then upload them to iCloud on my new Apple ID.

I’ve been on the phone with Apple for 3 hours.

The computer isn’t moving at all. We checked download originals and it just sits on the number (approx 16000). The guy is from the photo team and he can’t understand as to why.

Any ideas?

Maybe the guy from the "photo team" is really just another low tier support tech?
