I regret buying this late 2011, can I return it even though I bought in April?

    No, you cannot return it at this point. This is why most of the advise here at MR centered around communicating people to wait,

    In any event your best bet is to sell this, by way of eBay or Craigslist and buy the new one

    It was only a processor update and 8GB RAM... wasn't it?

    I don't why you're downvoted, but it's true. If you keep pursuing new things you'll end up not buying anything at all.

    I thought there's a new Macbook Pro with retina. The new 13" mbp doesn't have retina does it?

    No. The retina is only a 15" for like $2200.

    Now go watch the keynote updates ;)
