For quite a while now, I've been hovering at around 100-300 MB of storage space available on my iPhone (5S, 32 gig model), but I just looked at my usage and it now says I have 7.2 gigs available. I haven't been deleting anything. I've downloaded a couple of podcasts and apps since the last time I checked so I assumed I'd be nearly running out of space by now. I also haven't plugged my phone into the computer or updated the iOS anytime recently.

Anyone have this happen before? Any explanation? I don't notice anything missing, so far...

Some caches from some apps were probably emptied by the OS itself to make some room.

Haven't heard of this kind of behavior on the phone before, but if that's what happened it's really cool. Freed up nearly 7 gigs.

If you're jailbroken check in Cydia.
Nope, no jailbreaking here. Also, I'm on the most current iOS.
