I think my Monitor is about to fry

I have a Graphite 17" Apple Studio Display that i got with my G4 4 years ago.

Last day i noticed that the monitor was really bright and everything thing was smaller.

Now i'm noticing that as i'm working it flashes back and form from smaller and brighter to normal ...

when it goes smaller sometimes i get back horizontal line accross the screen.

Could my monitor be telling me that it's time to get a new one ... or perhaps it is my Video Card that is the one that needs help?

Hook a different monitor up to the machine. That'll tell you if it's the monitor or the video card that is going ka-put.
