PC2-3200 is DDR2-400 RAM, it will not fit any Macintosh made.

PC3200 is DDR-400 RAM, it would be quite unusual to find this in SODIMM format.

You are looking for a PC2100 or a PC2700 DDR SODIMM of 512 Mb or 1 Gb size.

cheers guys off to the fleabay:D

Most likely that will result in bad ram, and errors. make sure the ram has what I think is called a slow buffer. that is what those ibooks require.

bidding on actual ibook ram.

do you know what sized Harddrive an iBook12 can take?
I was hoping to double the 30gb IDE it has, which is also showing the click of death:(

It can take any IDE 2.5" drive -- Certinly the 9.5 mm tall ones and I think the 12mm tall ones as well

Dismantling it to replace the hard drive however is painstaking and labour intensive. Schedule 1 - 2 hours for an experienced tech.

yeah i know I have seen several online tutorials its probably gonna take me 7 hours as im going to photo and detail every screw:D

does the Harddrive size matter?
can an ibook take a 100GB HD?
