Does anyone know how to get it? It only appears in the app store in iTunes as an iPad app...

I've been on the iOS4 GM since its release and it's not in the app store on my phone either. Also, the GM has the same build number as the officially released OS so that wouldn't change anything.

I am in the same boat as you. I cant even find it in the APP store...Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, any sign of it?

It's the sole reason Ive updated prior to getting my IV. Syncing bookmarks with ipad ftw.

SJ didn't commit to it releasing today...
That being said, I have been looking forward to iBooks on the iPhone with gusto. I think we might have to wait a while longer, maybe it will be released in time for the iPhone 4 launch.

You have to wait until Apple updates the app to be a universal app. It should be soon because notifications were sent out in 4.0 when you open the app store telling people to download it so they need to get it out so people don't get confused.

Finally! Apple allows us to read books! Something we've never been able to do before. We should all wait around to download an app so we can read. Sure there are real books we could read, but I'd rather download it from Apple for the novelty.

Well, I've been reading ebooks that I've obtained myself for about 10 years. I love the iBooks app on my iPad, but currently have to manually find where I'm upto in Stanza on the iPhone. I'm salivating at the thought of auto syncing bookmarks with iPhone iBooks. The Kindle app has done this for ages of course, but that's no use as I can't use my own files.

Why are you switching from stanza to iBooks? Just because Apple makes it?

I couldn't find the iBooks app either. Now I'm left wondering if Apple is going to restrict iBooks to just the iPhone 4 (because of the higher resolution screen)?

I hope not.... that will piss off a lot of people!

Doubt it. There's a tonne of money they'd be depriving themselves of.

I never buy ebooks personally, but I know a lot do.

Stick with the Kindle app - iBooks' selection is just too limited compared to what Amazon has and they are basically the exact same App.

GOT IT!!!

Went to itunes on my PC and downloaded the app...DO a search and it will come up, then just SYNC with your phone and bammm:) Enjoy!!

For a moment I wondered if the iPad version may have been made universal, but naaah.

I think the noob's lying.

I promise I am NOT lying Here is the screen shot!!
