That would definitely solve the sanctuary city problem in short order.

NOPE, but I support your right to do so w/o becoming a criminal for it.

So, would it be appropriate to prosecute advocates of legalization as "drug lords?"

So, let me get this straight? It's ok to protect illegals, because they're the only ones that will do certain jobs no one else will do? So in essence, since they're under the table, they don't pay federal and state taxes like we all have to do, and they get probably less than minimum wage, or the market rate. Basically you're exploiting these desperate people, so that business profit more, since they're not officially on the books, like payroll taxes and such. We have a lot of people on unemployment, or who have given up looking, yet these sanctuary cities would rather exploit people from south to save a few bucks. It's almost like a form of modern day slavery man.

    So...

You're trying to conflate two different aspects of the epistemological theme of "home", and you're using that fallacious argument to support the notion that locally elected governments are criminal.

No. It's all part of being a decent human being. It's OK to protect illegals, just as it OK to protect citizens.

    Oh... I see.

    I amend my response.

Thomas Hormas is unfit to hold office in any society that values political dissent, that values liberty, and values the rule of law. But I suppose he can live with the ignominy.

Ha! DAMN! You're so bias that you'd hope someone dies in a fire for trying to enforce our laws?! And they say the right is full of hate...

BOOM This reply just shut his whole "logical" process DOWN... Any reasonable person would have stopped after this one.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! And then I see this one! You're on a role! Yet, there will be more lip...

    --- Post Merged, Jul 28, 2017 ---
Stop... PLEASE, just stop... It hurts... IT HURTS!

So you seriously NOT see how your argument is ACTUALLY fallacious, and not just alleged to be so?
    --- Post Merged, Jul 28, 2017 ---
Damn, you are completely neglecting... uhhhhh... THE LEGALITY of this topic.

Suppose that you are arrested on suspicion of some state crime. And your lawyer gets the charge dismissed, ensuring that there is no legal basis for your continued detention.

Now, suppose that ICE asks the state to continue to detain you for an additional 48 hours, on suspicion of "unlawful presence". (Remember, " As a general rule, it is not a crime for a removable alien to remain present in the United States.")

Would it be legal for the state to honor this detention request?

    No. It would not.

Hmm. I see. Willing to offer proof beyond a reasonable doubt? Because, I'm pretty sure that's how the government "knows" things.
