ichat file transfer disabled..HELP

My aim has never given me the option of letting me click on the file transfer button. The buttin that says File Transfer is in light gray.

When i try to drag a picture to the aim... it says the following:


This chat does not accept fiel transfers

Can anyone help please !!!:mad:
