Is there a way to combine an aim account with iChat?

iChat is AIM.

When you set up iChat, just change the Mobile Me option to AIM. That should let you log in just like if you were using the regular version of AIM.

I understand that I can use my aim account through iChat, but I was asking if there is a way to combine them. My buddy lists are very different and for example when I use aim through gmail or on my cell phone, I have to use my aim buddy list and not iChat.

Perhaps you misunderstood my question. You can use iChat as @.mac.com or as an aim account.

You can use it as both.
