Good for him, but it's not as if we didn't already know. ;) Nice to see him being comfortable enough to talk about it. But I also find it sad that he had to hide it for fear of it overshadowing his talent.

Hooray for him! Just in time for LA Pride this weekend.

Now if only Paula would come out of the train-wreck closet. :p

Lee, dont take this the wrong way, but I just can't understand why anyone gives a damn about celebrities, any of them. I'm glad this guy is finally able to be true to himself and others, but outside of that, I really dont care.

I hate how celebrity obsessed this country is.

He set off my gaydar as well. A blind man could tell he's gay.

I am shocked, SHOCKED I tell you.

    :p

It's a damn shame he felt he couldn't be open about himself for fear of damaging his chances. Can't say I wouldn't so exactly the same thing were I in his shoes, however.

It really shouldn't matter (and it is far from shocking), but I understand why he kept it "under wraps". Kind of a sad note on humanity as a whole, I think.

While I agree with you, like it or not, other people do care. Sorry, that's the way it is. And when they do something commendable, I think it's worth mentioning.

I agree that our country is too celebrity focused as well. However, on the rare occasion, they can be good role models. I think Adam is one of those. He's well-mannered, humble, and down-to-earth. He shows you can be gay and still be perfectly normal and functional, nay even successful. Given the show's target demographics, I'd say it could be a good thing (however, also given their target demographic, I think the whole bikini girl finale thing was ridiculous).

Good for him for coming out and all that, and I agree fully with chrmjenkins' comments about him being a positive role model – but I must add a note of caution. As I understand it, essentially this means that the US has produced its very own Will Young.

    You poor souls.

Damn, just when I was once again starting to think I'm the only one who feels this way...

With everything going on in the world, with everything going on in my life, I just can't possibly care what "celebrity" came out of the closet, or who Paris went out with last weekend, or where Britney bought her latte, or who wore what designer on which red carpet. It's all so colossally unimportant.
