I'm in the market for a 11" ipp. Need the extra Ram, brightness, and ProMotion. (Lots of reading and scanning-in documents in bright light, unfortunately.)
So if the 11" disappears, the Air is a lot less $$... but what if apple drops the prices? Assuming they stay the same, the Air (64Gb) and 12.9" Pro (128 Gb) are a $400 price difference. If you even out the storage at 256 Gb (since the Air skips 128), then it's $750 and $1199, a $450 difference.

Why do you think the 11" pro might disappear? I've not heard that rumor and don't think it likely. If anything, I think the 11" and 12.9" both stay and maybe even inch up in price to separate the 11" from the Air a little more.

This is Apple's flagship iPad, they usually aren't shy about upping the price if they think its justified. It's very unlikely to get cheaper.

I think the 11 pro will stay for now but only the 12.9 will actually be updated. Later in the year the air 5 will basically become what the 11 pro is now.
I think there is some merit there. Is jives with the rumors that the first OLED iPad will be a 10.9”

I think the price of the 12.9” will go up with the addition of Mini-LED.

I think the 11” will be kept as the cheaper entry to the Pro lineup.

They sell way more 11s than 12.9s, so they’d be crazy to drop it. More likely they will play with the size. Maybe call it 11.3 or something...

If you’re going to abbreviate the larger iPad it probably makes more sense to round it up a tenth of an inch and refer to it as the 13” than round it down nearly a full inch.

Now for Laptops Samsung makes 14” and 16” OLED Displays.

The 11” with the AMK is perfect. You don’t kill off perfection. You improve it. It will sell, btw

11” gets updated without mini LED and 12.9” gets a price boost w/ mini LED.

You are guessing right? I just don’t see it really. A lot of pissed off people. Of course that’s nothing new. We shall se.

I don’t know where the notion of the 11” iPad Pro disappearing came from. It does appear that only the 12.9” is getting mini-LED, but they will likely stay the same in every other aspect. The 11” isn’t going anywhere.

Also, you think they’re going to add mini-LED and drop the price? Lol...

Please stop with the ‘Apple is discontinuing the iPad 11“ ‘ fantasy.

I mean, everyone here owns one! Ha! Do think the clownish 12.9 is somehow the bees knees? What a joke, and frankly, it’s depressing, so stop. Thanks.

(actually you are scaring me :D )

Drop price? :D Apple just increased the prices of their main selling consumer products, the iPhone 12 and the iPad Air 4, during a pandemic, and they got their best quarter ever. There's only one outcome, more price increases. There's a reason the Air 4 price went up, so they can increase the price ceiling further. With the new display, expect higher prices.
