If I get this cable I'll be able to hook up my MBP to my TV via HDMI ?

I just use the connector that came with the MBP and then plug this cable into it, and I should be good right?

It should.. I use a similar cable to connect my 17"MBP to a Phillips 52" HDTV. The MBP is able to display at the TV full resolution, the picture looks great.

yea i just wasn't sure if I got the right ends. feel like im always going to mess up the female/male ends

you need to connect your audio out to your speakers additionally, hdmi-dvi cannot carry the audio.
