So you have 2 candidates for governor and both are nuts. First Witman and her nanny problems and now Brown dealing with the whore comments. Now it seems they have both pulled out of a televised debate. It looks like Arnold is more qualified than both of them.

No nuttier than a lot of candidates that I've seen.

But to tell you the truth... even as a die-hard liberal... the choice of Jerry Brown by the democrats was uninspired, to say the least. I guess they just weren't ready to pass the mantle to the pretty-boy with the haircut (Gavin Newsome) quite yet.

As for Arnold, his reign has been an incredible failure. He was elected in the hope that by being outside the political mainstream he could avoid gridlock, but instead he presided over record budget delays and deficits.

    F-A-I-L.

    With an Austrian accent.

All Brown had to do was stay clean and he would have won, the whore comment just gave more fire to Whitman who was on the ropes. How can California not find better candidates?

heh, Blumenthal is going down faster than an intern under Clintons desk. I don't think anyone thought that he would fall as hard as he has.

What's the big deal about some idiot in Brown's campaign calling Witman a whore? I don't see how that makes Brown any lesser qualified for the job.

If people change their vote over something so stupid, they don't deserve the right to vote.

People don't vote over the issues, they vote over who looks good and says the right things.

    He was already governor once.

How many more qualifications does a person need?

As for the "whore" comment... I have little doubt that there is far worse things said about opponents behind closed doors in any campaign. It's a non-issue. But the media loves to focus on non-issues.

Just like we do here in MR. :D

if having been previously elected governor for two terms, 1975 to 1983, means he's qualified (whatever that means) then I suppose he's as qualified as one can get

and he did a terrible job at least according to everyone I know that was alive back then. We have some good third party candidates that I voted for but unfortunately they wont win.
As far as brown and Whitman go Whitman scares me, and Brown did a bad job last time so I don't trust him this time. That said though, California has too much mandated spending that the legislature can't cut and it is almost impossible to raise taxes to pay for that spending so whoever is elected will do a bad job

The latest poll I saw say it is a neck and neck heat. She has beat him in every debate they have had.

So vote for one of those third party candidates.....they definitely won't win if you won't vote for them because they wont win

    neck in neck? doesn't seem to be that close really.....what poll are you referring to? here's a list;

It's true comic relief to see the resurrection of Gov. Moonbeam. Little Jerry WindshieldWiper. :D Flip-flop, flip-flop...

What the heck, at least if he wins he'll provide lots of entertainment. After all, his ideas will have more appeal than Arnie's--who had never the first sign of a prayer of "fixing" anything--as far as the Lege is concerned.

Sit back, pop a top and watch the games...
